What happens when you leave school?

Email account

Please ensure you have forwarded any emails from your school email account that you would like to keep. If you have created any online accounts using your school email address it is strongly advised that you change these before leaving us. Your email account is disabled on your leaving date.

The exception for this rule is Year 11 and 13 leavers. Your accounts will be disabled during the October Half Term holidays after you have left.

OneDrive files

OneDrive is directly linked to your school email account, access to your school OneDrive files will be disabled when you leave us. Please ensure you have downloaded any files you would like to keep. You can create your own personal Microsoft account for free, which allows access to all the online versions of Office apps, as well as the use of OneDrive for personal use.

Microsoft Office

With your school email address you can install Microsoft Office onto your own device for free. However once you leave the school your email account is disabled, and your copy of Microsoft Office will no longer be activated. The software will still allow you to open Microsoft Office files, however you will not be able to edit or create new documents. 

School Issued Devices

Any School devices that have been issued to you are the property of Solihull School and must be returned to the ICT Services Department on your leave date.
